personal trainer & group fitness instructor

Patrick has always been an active athlete.  While growing up in Milford, CT, he competed at a high level in swimming through high school and into college (where he first met Clay Tebbetts).  He was a distance running enthusiast for many years after college, completing 3 marathons, a dozen 200-mile team relay races, and many shorter distance events.  Over time, running became increasingly difficult for him due to his arthritis. Like many others, he became less and less active while working at his desk job.

Inspired by his daughter, who was studying Exercise Science at Ithaca College at the time, Patrick started to expand his approach to fitness, learning new exercises and equipment at a local gym while she was home from break.  Shortly after, at age 50, he found martial arts, becoming an avid practitioner of Muay Thai kickboxing.  In the last few years he has also picked up the Afro-Brazilian martial art form known as Capoeira, an acrobatic martial art form disguised as a dance.

He recently became certified by NASM as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, with the goal of sharing his passion for exercise.  He is most interested in teaching adults how to overcome their own obstacles, grow their confidence, and become comfortable with a broad variety of movement patterns that are often thought to be only an option for the young.

Patrick is a lifelong resident of Connecticut and proud father of two grown daughters.  He currently lives with his wife, Catherine, and their dog Mayzie.
