Kendra Kennedy; Personal Trainer

Kendra has been an athlete most of her life.  She has participated in gymnastics, soccer, dance, cheerleading, softball, volleyball and diving.  Her most accomplished sport was swimming.  At age 6, she started competing with local YMCA teams; at age 12, Kendra qualified for Nationals with the highest ranking of second.  She has also competed in high level competitions against Olympians in the U. S. Open.

Kendra retired from swimming after high school and became a personal trainer at the very young age of 18.  At age 26, Kendra began her natural path towards a coaching career in swimming! The passion from swimming empowered her to concentrate her studies in sports, strength and conditioning.  During her coaching career, she has worked with 3 nationally ranked head coaches who have trained Olympic Trail Qualifiers, National Team Members and Olympians.  Another highlight of being in the swim coaching world included her involvement with the New Jersey All-Star Team that competes against states in the Northeast Region of the United States.

Most recently, Kendra was recruited to CT Swim in 2014.  Currently, she proudly holds the Assistant to the Head Coach position of the Cheshire YMCA CDog a Swim Team. Her other major responsibility is to head their strength and conditioning department.  Kendra also is the Head Swim Coach of the Copper Valley County Club.

We are very lucky to have Kendra on the MSA 'Family' staff!  It's very hard to find good trainers and coaches! She will be teaching classes, as well as, taking new clients for Personal Training.  Kendra specializes in children but loves working with adults too.  Book your free assessment today!

If you ask Kendra what her proudest achievement in life so far, she would answer being a mom to a young son all while trying to work full time staying in the field she loves!
